Mick and I did some exploring this weekend – we ended up at Tubbs Hill – 120 acres bordered by Lake Coeur d’Alene containing several miles of trails, hidden beaches and cliffs. It’s dog friendly and great for trail running. The coolest part – it’s RIGHT downtown. You could be visiting city hall or the library, turn down the public path and suddenly you are surrounded by evergreens, staggering rocks and the most amazing views of the lake. We hiked the outer loop which curves around the entire hill and explored the beaches – Buddy loved it – until he realized how cold the water was!
Other highlights from the weekend include margaritas post house shopping [the chips and salsa were the worst – can we get a Chevy’s here?], Catching Fire [!!!!], RedBox – The Way Way Back, first experience in a North Idaho hunting store – pretty awesome, and coffee with our favorite person here. After being stuck in the house all week, it was refreshing to be out and about. Let’s buy that car!
